Fall Family 2015

Fall Family Campout 2015

Cardinal District Cub Family Campout

"Special Ops Camporee"

Our fall camping trip was Oct. 17-18. As in past years, we camped with all the Cub Packs in the Cardinal District of the Heart of Virginia Council. The format was the same as past years, with the District organizing the activities during the day and the campfire in the evening. The activities included archery, BB guns, fishing, sporting events, high jump, sling shot, dodge ball, gaga ball, rocket launching, and leatherwork.

This Cub Family Campout styled "Special Ops Camporee" took place at Albright Scout Reservation in southern Chesterfield County. This is the same place that we usually camp in the Spring and where we were this past May. It is about a 45 minute drive from the Tuckahoe area.

As will all of our events, this was open to the entire family. Moms, Dads, and all siblings regardless of gender and age were welcome to come and participate in the activities. Of course, just the cub scout and one parent are welcome too.

We prepared and ate dinner together on the 17th and breakfast on the 18th. The event ended after breakfast on the 18th.
